DDA K1 ZONE

Dwarka sub city form a part of Zone-K and forms part of the town extension plan accepted by the Authority vide Agenda no.79 dt. 30.06.1987 as part of Master Plan of Delhi 2021 & Land Pooling Policy.

THE BASIC OBJECTIVES OF ZONAL PLAN FOR PLANNING ZONE ‘K-1’ ARE:

To provide adequate shelter along with physical and social infrastructure for assigned population.

Development of the extensive i.e. commercial and institutional uses along the major transport corridor.

CONSERVATION OF ENVIRONMENT TO PROVIDE OPEN SPACES, PUBLIC GREEN AREA:

Public, Private and Community participation to remove bottleneck and delay in the assembly of land through mix of land acquisition and the new assembly techniques involving public, private sector (land owner).

Regularization of existing unauthorized colonies/built up as per the policy of the government, with the objective of providing basic amenities.

The new Land Pooling Policy was introduced last October, 2018 vide notification S.O. 5220(E) dated 11.10.2018 by the Delhi Development Authority (DDA). As per this policy, landowners can apply for the organization to pool small aggregate of land and develop infrastructure there so that it can be handed back to the owners themselves, without the ownership of land ever changing hands. As of 6th September 2019, 6,407 hectares of land has been registered under land pooling. It has registered 1,248 hectares, 3,268 hectares, 1,691 hectares and 229 hectares in zones P-2, N, L and K-1 respectively.
